How I have dealt with my Daughter's ADHD

Maria Isabella is really too young to be disgnosed with ADHD, but she has many characteristics of kids with ADHD; so, we are treating her as if she had it. In fact it is so hard for her to focus on something, and for this reason it has been so hard for her to learn to read. She goes to weekly therapy with the psychologist and just started neuronet therapy two times a week.

I've also been following the psychologist's recommendation like limiting the amount of candy she eats and limiting the amount of time she watches tv. She seems to be improving her attention span and she seems to be managing impulsivity much better.

It's hard though, she goes to pre-school everyday. Physical therapy, 3 times a week, neuronet 2 times a week, meeting with psychologist once a week, home study 1 hour a day plus homework she gets from school. I really don't know how she even gets time to play, but she does.

Awwwwwww you are doing the right thing. My oldest son has ADHD and it's a hard thing to deal with. He also had ODD tendencies and was very violent. Instead of hyper - per say - he was violent when he was first diagnosed, at 4, and now when he is off his meds he has no self control. There are certain dietary things that work for some kids, it's great!! We've tried a couple and it just didn't work for him.

I just wanted to point out that in your descriptions - you have Marcella being born in 2008, and I know that's not right (wink) ... so I just wanted to let ya know so you can change it.
