About Me

HI! I am the mom of three wonderful children. Marcella my oldest is almost 10 years old. Isabella my second one is 7 years old and was born with Spina Bifida. My youngest Roger is 3 years old.

It's been a long journey with both our two girls. But Isabella's journey has been especially exhausting and stressful. It seems as if everything in our family has been a struggle with continual trips for doctors appointments, surgeries, and therapies. Having to travel by myself sometimes and leaving my family behind has been especially painful.

But at the end of each journey I realize that although sometimes difficult, it was worth every single step. Isabellas is definitely and inspiration to everyone she meets.

When Isabella was 4 years old, we decided to have a third child, Roger. He is now our 3 year old.

So this blog is about sharing the joy, hope, and challenges of my life with three kids, one with special needs.

  1. I was born in Nicaragua on October 12th 1978.
  2. I was an only child and always wished I had brothers and sisters.
  3. My dream as little girl was to become a mom.
  4. I am a mom to 3 kids (2 girls, 1 baby boy). I feel so blessed to have them.
  5. The hardest part of my life - going through a divorce; never thought I would go through this.
  6. The most difficult thing to accept is betrayal and deception.
  7. I love and admire my parents very much.
  8. Right now my goals are to be the best mom.
  9. God forms a very important part of my life.
  10. I believe my life is constantly blessed by God.
  11. I pray the rosary everyday, but still wish I had a better realtionship with God.
  12. I often worry too much, I wish I was more relaxed.
  13. I am a very organized, neat person....I think I have OCD, I can't help it!
  14. My favorite drink is coke.
  15. My favorite food right now is eggs.
  16. I have only a few close friends.
  17. My Bachelor's Degree is from University of Florida and My Masters is from Troy University.
  18. The cities in which I have lived in are Managua, Miami, Gainesville, and Ft. Benning.
  19. My favorite day of the week is Friday, Saturday my second.
  20. I enjoy spending time on my own, and wish I had more time for myself.
  21. I really wished I could sleep better.
  22. My greatest fear as a little girl and even today is to lose my parents.
  23. Pictures and memories are important to me....I think blogs are the best!
  24. My favorite sports is swimming, but I don't have time to practice it.
  25. I am too sensitive, I can be hurt very easily, but I also forget easily.
  26. My first job was in college at the Student Health Care Center.
  27. I love to dress in white.
  28. My favorite hobby right now is to read.
  29. The farthest place I've been is Argentina...and I loved it!
  30. I like big families, but think 3 kids is enough.
  31. I don't like to own pets.
  32. I love facebook...it helps me keep in touch with family and friends....great tool!

Roger Tiene Reflujo

Roger tiene reflujo, gracias a Dios que ha sido diagnosticado y tenemos respuestas al porque es que se quejaba y lloraba tanto. Yo notaba que algo no estaba bien...siempre lo miraba molesto, veía que padecía de gases a un gran extremo, que talvez le sacabamos 4 gases por toma y de repento dormido empezaba a gritar y cuando lo agarrabamos era otro gas! Se retorcía demasiado, pero lo que mas me llamaba la atención era que se escapaba de ahogar cuando comía y ya estos 2 últimos días estaba comiendo la mitad de lo que comía antes. Yo decía algo no esta bien y ahora será que me podrán decir que tiene? Lo bueno es que aunque sea un reflujo severo y necesite medicamento, no ha dejado de crecer y ganar peso. Lo único es que lo miro un poco serio que probablemente se deba al malestar que siente.

It's Been a Nice Day!

Yesterday I had really good night sleep.  I guess having a good night sleep really determines what kind of day I'm going to have the next day.  So today has been a nice, stressless day.  I went to the store and bought the food for the week, then bought some other stuff like bread and fruits.  Then I took Roger with me to pick up Mari at school.  Then we had lunch (Mari and me).  Then I changed Mari from her school uniform, put her on her ARGOs, and I went to drop her off at PT at the Hospital.  Then we came back home (Roger and I).  I gave Roger his milk, then I put him on his crib to fall asleep on his own.  Then I went to pick up Marce.  Marce did her homework.  Then we went to pick up Mari at the Hospital.  Now they are both having a snack and then we are going to do Mari's Homework.

Father's and Mother's Day Celebration Act - Kinder Montessori 2006

Hoy fue la celebración del Día del Padre y de la Madre de los alumnos del Kinder Montessori en el Club de las Colinas. La Isabella supuestamente tenía que bailar una canción y ella tenía que mover sus manos. Ninguno de los niños bailó, muchos lloraron, pero como ella es muy social, solamente miró al público con una mirada extrañada y no lloró. A Marcella le tocó bailar mambo!
