Tomorrow we are finally going back home. Today was the last day of medical appointments. Thank God everything went fine with the only new thing that we found out that Isabella has Kidney Reflux, which means that the urine in her bladder goes back into the kidneys and that brings complications like UTIs (Urinary Track Infections). Recurrent UTIs may bring Kidney Damage so we have to prevent this. Currently we were cathing her every 4 hours, now he have to do it every 3 hours. She also has take Ditropan (medication to relax bladder muscles) 2 times a day, now its going to be 3 times a day. She will continue Prophylactics (low dose anitibiotics to prevent infections) as usual, 2 cc at bedtime. We also saw the ortho doctor, and said that we could still wait on the surgery planned for her spine, and to come back in 6 months. He was glad that Mari was walking and ordered a walker for her. The neurosurgeon said everything was fine also! So we are happy :).

Hello Family and Friends! We're still in Miami. On Tuesday we went to Disney World, Magic Kingdom...the girls liked it although they cried in some rides like Snow White and Peter Pan. Yesterday Mari had a cat Scan done at Miami Children Hospital. Next week is medical week and it's full of appointments. My cousin's wedding is tomorrow, today is the rehearsal. Mari's walking is getting better and better each day, although we hadn't had a chance to practice much in Miami. Hope we can find a walker that fits her soon!

El Jueves fuí por primera vez a un gurpo de oración al que me invitó la Fanny. Enrealidad no es un grupo de oración si no mas bien un grupo de reflexíon donde se lee un evangelio y despues el guía prepara una reflexión para nosotras. Este Jueves se trató sobre la paz interior. Sobre las cruces de la personas y las bendiciones. Hay personas que llevan cruces pesadas y se miran felices, otras que son las personas melodramáticas por una cosa pequeña hacen un gran drama. Uno debe de llevar su cruz feliz y pedirle ayuda al señor y dar gracias todos los días por todas las bendiciones que recibimos, muchas de ellas no las percibimos como bendiciones porque las tomamos como que ya son merecidas, pero no es asi. Hablamos sobre la envidia, un sentimiento tan feo que carcome el alma. Ademas de carcomer el alma es un sentiemiento muy vergonzoso. La envidia divide y nos deja ser feliz y vivir en paz.

Bajo un tremendo frío recibimos la misa del niño Jesus en la casa de las Carmelitas Descalzas. La misa fue celebrada por el obispo Brenes y habló muy lindo. Enrealidad nunca lo había oído hablar, pero me pareció su forma de hablar muy natural y sincera. Nos habló sobre la importancia de la oración. Quien no ora, no encontrará la felicidad y familia que ora unida permanece unida.

The girls have a new playhouse! It was originally Blacky's dog house, my mom's dog that recently died. But Chepe (the constructor) and Don Juan Blandón the painter transformed the house into a beautiful playhouse for the girls. I had the idea to paint the outside of the house as if it was made out of wood. On the inside Marce wanted it to be based on four of the Disney princesses. So she chose, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Bell, and Cindirella. I have already taken some pictures of this little house, but I'll upload them later on.

Today is my friend Leana Birthday. She Is my friend for college, but we have managed to stay friends since then although we don't see ourselves very often. I wish you the best on this 2006 28th Birthday Mokuana!

Hola familia y amigos que siempre leen mi blog..he estado un poco desconectada porque estoy trabajando en mi nueva family web page que prontos les voy a presentar. Maria Isabella esta muy bien, cada vez vamejor en su caminada, es una belleza y me siento muy orgullosa. Mi Marce esta linda tambien, el otro día la teacher me dijo que todos los niños quieren ser novios de ella. Yo me quede asustada, pero me dice la Claudia (Dueña del Kinder), que lo que pasa es que es una niña muy linda y nice con sus compañeros. Fui al retiro el Jueves, estuvo muy bonito, me econtré con la Fanny. De ahi todos bien!

In less that two weeks we are leaving to Miami. On the firts week we plan to take the girls to Disney World. Then we will have some days off until the day of my cousin Christianne's Wedding on the 25th of March. Then the next week it's going to be of medical appointments for Isabella. We come back on the 29th of March if God permits that everything goes well.

Este año parece que es el año de los sobrinos, tendré cuatro! Quiero introducir a 2 nuevos sobrinos, Gregory, que nacerá en Abril y Brianna Sofía que nacerá en Agosto.

Hace 2 días recibí una llamada de alguien inesperado. Fue de una señora conocida pero no muy cercana a mi. Me empezó a platicar y me contó que le habían contado que tengo 2 hijas y que me quería hacer una invitación a un retiro de jóvenes. Me pareció una gran idea y decidimos que me vendría a recojer el Jueves por la mañana. En nuestra plática, no hablamos nada sobre la Maria Isabella, pero si coversamos sobre Dios. Sin tocar el tema de la niña a fondo, me explicó que nada en la vida es casualidad. Yo creo que así es...y creo que cada cosa que nos sucede sea malo, bueno o simplemente ninguna de las dos, es por que Dios asi lo ha permitido. Cuando diagnosticaron a Maria Isabella con Espina Bifida, muchas personas empezaron a orar por ella y nosotros. En ese entonces Roger trabajaba en la ESSO y una persona que trabajaba en la ESSO le comentó a Roger que en Costa Rica el tenía una hermana y que cualquier cosa que necesitaramos de papeles del consulado que ella nos podía ayudar. I couldn't think of a better title for this post. Yesterday, we came back from Costa Rica, a little earlier that what was planned, but we are happy to be back. Today was my mom's first day at work. I hope everything goes fine for her, I wish her the best in this new stage of her life. We are home a little earlier because Mari had a bladder infection. But to be 100 % honest, we are home because I really wanted to be back, cause when Mari starts on antibiotics, she usually gets better on the same day. But anyways, I am back, and I am happy to be with my family and at home! Eugenia, her Physical Therapist from Costa Rica said it was fine for us to come back early and gave us instructions of what to do with Mari's learning to walk process. I feel a little exhausted. Although this is a step forward to independence for Mari, right now, Mari is more dependent on all of us, but more on me than on anyone else.
