Kinder - A New Year of School for Marce

Image
Today is Marce's First Day of School. She is very happy and excited. Since she started school for the first time, she has never cried. Marce is very intelligent and a good student. She has started to be more independent...I am definately going to miss her! But I know someone who is going to miss her even more...Mari. Mari was also starting school this year, but since she is a little sick, we decided to keep her home a little longer.

Sunday at Pochomil

Image
Today we went to the Beach at my aunt Sylvia and Uncle Angel's beach house in Pochomil. We (dad, mom, mimi, Roger, Scarlet, Marce, & Mari) arrived there at 11:00 am. My uncle Javier, aunt Maria Delia, my cousin Javier, Azalea, and baby arrived there an hour later. The girls were extremely excited. We brought a small pool so the girls could play in it. They were so happy and it was Mari's first time sitting on a pool by herself. Later in the afternoon we took the girls to the beach. It was Mari's first time sitting on bare sand, she was excited, but I guess I was even more excited for her. Soon we had to go back to the house because it started raining.

It's a Girl!!

Javier and Celina are having a new baby this year. Celina is around 18 weeks pregnant. They recently had an ultrasound done and found out they are having a beautiful baby Girl! Congratulations to both of you.

A New Room for the Girls!

Now that Mari has officially become a toddler; although still not look like one, I thought it was a good idea to say good bye to her Crib. Mari gladly welcomed her new bed which is an exact copy of her sister's bed. Mari was so excited that she even waved bye bye to us when we go and put her to sleep. But Marce is even more excited to be able to share the sleeping in bed experience with her little sister.

Mari has Pneumonia - A False Alarm

Image
Thank God Mari didn't have Pneumonia. On Monday I had to take her to see her Pediatrician, Dr. Cesar Gutierrez Quant, because she had fever, cough, and asthma. When her Doctor checked her we saw in his face that she had something serious. He then went and called the Pneumologist, Dr. Marisol Espinoza. When she came she examined Mari again and then told us that she thought she had Pneumonia. I thought she was going to admit her in the hospital, but she didn't. That same night we had to inject her two kinds of medicines, antibiotics and one for her lungs. That night she slept pretty well, but daddy had to wake up every two hours to nebulize her. The next day, it was confirmed by an X-Ray that she didn't have Pneumonia. Mari is still and will still be on her nebulizing treatment, antibiotics, and on asthma medication, probably for 10 more days.

Vacations for Marce are Almost Done

Image
This coming Monday January 30th Marcella will be starting a new year of school-Kinder at her same school Kinder Montessori. But although she is on vacation, we usually take an hour of the day, most often after lunch to practice some of the work from school.

Isabella's Evaluation in Costa Rica

Mari is doing great! Recently we went to Costa Rica for an evaluation. Eugenia, her physical therapist evaulates her every 3 months. She said Mari is doing excellent and might be ready to start walking with RGOs next month. She has good upper body strength, is able to army crawl, and is able to sit with arm support. We still need to work more on her sitting so that she sits with no support at all and also with her hip and lower limb movements.

Isabellas 2nd Birthday Party

Image
At this time I used to love Barney, that's why mom chose a Barney theme. The party took place at our own house. This party was small with just a few friends invited.
